Located in the hamlet of Alberghi, the Church of the Holy Family (Chiesa della Sacra Famiglia) represents an important spiritual and architectural landmark for the community of Pescia. Its origins date back to the end of the 19th century, born from the need to provide a larger place of worship for the growing local population. The first stone was laid in 1895, and construction progressed thanks to the fervent devotion of the faithful and the support of local ecclesiastical authorities.
The building was officially consecrated in 1905, distinguished by its simple yet elegant lines, typical of the religious architecture of that period which blends Neo-Gothic and Neo-Renaissance elements.
Inside, the church houses works of significant interest that invite quiet reflection. Particularly striking are the decorations of the presbytery and the canvases celebrating the Holy Family, to whom the church is dedicated. Among the artistic highlights are the works of the painter from Pescia, Innocenzo Ansaldi (or his school), and fine liturgical furnishings that bear witness to the local craftsmanship. With its welcoming facade and solemn atmosphere, the church remains a living testament to the faith and history of Pescia, blending art with the deep identity of the village of Alberghi.
